Arcadia, my hometown, is a special place, and I’m very grateful for the opportunity to serve on the Arcadia City Council. I love this city.
I was born and raised here, and my wife and I chose to stay and raise our family here. Arcadia is our home, and I’m committed to doing everything I can to keep Arcadia a great place to raise a family, build a business, and enjoy life.
I don’t support negative politics and nasty campaigns. I do not have to. I have served the Arcadia Community for over 40 years. I have a reputation of being fair and honest – telling it like it is and standing on my principles. I strive to bring all of us together because I firmly believe together we can do great things for our city.

Peter Amundson
Peter Amundson was born and raised in Arcadia. He is in his sixth decade living in his hometown and is passionate about it.
Peter attended local schools. In High School he was elected student body President and a Varsity Football Captain.
He went on to attend the University of California, Los Angeles where he earned a degree in Political Science specializing in state and local government.
Peter has a distinguished record serving Arcadia as a community volunteer, elected councilman, and as mayor.
